On August 1, Delhi will conduct a large-scale disaster management exercise. The drill, called Suraksha Chakra, will prepare agencies for earthquake, industrial, and chemical hazards. The exercise will involve multiple emergency response agencies. Authorities are conducting the first integrated disaster management drill in the Delhi-NCR region.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) stated that these exercises aim to make the region safer. Officials will hold a symposium on July 29, followed by a table-top exercise on July 30.
