The actor recently unveiled his first look as “Dahaa” in the much-anticipated film starring Rajinikanth. The poster, released on July 3, 2025, shows Aamir in a bold and rugged new avatar which quickly captured the attention of fans worldwide.

This gritty, stylish look is a departure from his previous roles, adding excitement around his cameo in Coolie. Aamir Khan shared his excitement about the role in an interview with Zoom. “I really enjoyed doing it and am a big fan of Rajini sir. I have a lot of love and respect for him.

“When Lokesh (director) told me that Rajinikanth wanted me in the movie, I didn’t even need to hear the script. I just said, ‘Done. I’m doing it,'” Aamir said. He refrained from revealing too much about his role, but his enthusiasm was evident.

Aamir made his comeback after a three-year hiatus with Sitaare Zameen Par, which has received positive reviews for its emotional depth. The film has also performed well at the box office.

In Coolie, Aamir joins an ensemble cast that includes Rajinikanth, Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Upendra. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie is set to release in IMAX on August 14, 2025.
