The agenda of the meeting was the setting up of a next generation, international standard film studio. This is to be placed in the state to re-change the South Indian cinematic landscape. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, who has been increasingly becoming active in production and studio development, presented a proposal for a high-tech film facility working with animation, VFX, and other AI tools. He reiterated that due to progressive policies and locational advantages, Telangana is expected to be the next film tech hub of India.
“World-class technology and cinematic innovation are to be brought under one roof here in Telangana,” Devgn said. “This will not only benefit South Indian cinema but elevate Indian filmmaking on the world stage.”
Telangana’s Rapidly Increasing Allure for Filmmakers
The chief minister, Revanth Reddy, welcomed the proposal, stating that the Government is keen on making the state a cultural and technological hub. The CM promised the full support of his government in various aspects to bring his vision to life. That includes infrastructure, land allotment, and incentives for developing the film ecosystem in the state.
“Telangana is ready to support visionary projects like this,” CM Revanth Reddy said. “We believe in fostering creativity, innovation, and employment through the film and entertainment sector.”
More Than a Studio-A Creative Ecosystem
Training centers, virtual production spaces, post-production units, and co-working facilities for creators will all be housed in this proposed studio, which is much more than a film production studio. Upon approval, this studio would create a massive number of employment opportunities while attracting international collaborations.
Ajay Devgn also mentioned that the plans include providing opportunities to local talent, turning the studio into a place for regional stories told from a global perspective.
