Bihar to Get 4 New Amrit Bharat Express Trains: Check Routes

Amrit Bharat Express Trains: Four additional Amrit Bharat Express trains are scheduled to arrive in Bihar shortly. The connectivity between the two distances will be significantly enhanced by these new trains. The Amrit Bharat trains were introduced in 2023 to offer top-notch services to a wider range of people, especially those with lower incomes.


Amrit Bharat Express Train:

Amrit Bharat trains provide a travel experience comparable to the Vande Bharat Express but specifically target passengers from lower and lower-middle income groups with affordable and high-quality service. On Thursday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that four new Amrit Bharat Express trains will soon depart from Bihar. These new trains will run on the routes Gaya–Delhi, Saharsa–Amritsar, Chhapra–Delhi, and Muzaffarpur–Hyderabad.


Total Number of Amrit Bharat Trains in Bihar:

The Indian Railways currently runs nine Amrit Bharat trains across its extensive network. Eight of these trains either originate from Bihar or pass through the state. The routes include Rajendranagar Terminal–New Delhi, Darbhanga–Anand Vihar Terminal, Saharsa–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Darbhanga–Gomtinagar, Bapudham Motihari–Anand Vihar Terminal, Malda Town–Gomtinagar, Sitamarhi–Delhi, and Gaya–Delhi.

Amrit Bharat Express Train Features and Price:

Amrit Bharat trains offer several upgraded features, including semi-automatic couplers, modular toilets with new construction materials, sturdy pillars and partitions, emergency talkback features, EP-assisted brake systems, newly designed seats and berths, and a redesigned pantry car. They also provide continuous lighting like Vande Bharat, a fire detection system, gangways, external emergency lights, charging sockets, mobile phone holders, and more. In addition, the trains use push-pull technology to increase speed.

Price:
The Amrit Bharat Express is accessible to the general public, costing around Rs 450 for a travel of roughly 1000 km. One hundred Amrit Bharat trains would be produced, according to the national transporter’s plans.
