Dharmasthala Mass Burial Case: In one of the biggest scandals of 2025, a former sanitation worker revealed that he had allegedly been forced to bury multiple bodies, including those of women and children, over two decades. The burials supposedly happened in the forested areas surrounding the temple town of Dharmasthala, which gave credibility to his claims by providing skeletal remains and documents found at possible grave sites, hence causing tremendous public shock and media uproar.
