FASTag Yearly Pass: Avoid ₹3,000 Fine with These Simple Tips

FASTag Yearly Pass:

When traveling on highways, the last thing you want is to waste time paying at toll booths. The FASTag Pass provides a convenient solution, allowing smooth travel without stopping to pay cash. However, there are some important rules to follow. Failing to do so could result in a ₹3,000 fine.

What is the FASTag Yearly Pass?

NHAI designed the FASTag Annual Pass for private cars, jeeps, and vans. It helps you bypass toll booths without stopping or paying in cash. The pass is valid for one year or 200 trips, whichever comes first.

Where Can You Buy the FASTag Annual Pass?

You can purchase the pass online through the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) website or the Highway Yatra mobile app. There’s no need to visit a toll booth in person. Simply complete the purchase online and you’re good to go.

How Does Activation Work?

Once you buy the pass, NHAI will check if your vehicle is eligible. After confirming, you’ll need to pay ₹3,000. Within two hours of payment, your FASTag will be activated, allowing you to travel without stopping at toll points.

Important Rules to Follow:

To avoid losing ₹3,000, make sure to follow these guidelines:

1. Update Your Vehicle Registration Number (VRN): Your FASTag must be linked to your vehicle’s registration number.

2. Proper Installation: The FASTag should be correctly affixed to your vehicle’s windshield. If it’s loose or improperly installed, it won’t work.

3. No Blacklisted FASTags: Ensure that your FASTag isn’t on the blacklist.

4. Valid for Registered Vehicle Only: The pass is valid only for the registered vehicle. If used in another vehicle, it will be deactivated.

By following these simple steps, you can enjoy hassle-free travel without the risk of paying a fine. Make sure your FASTag is in top condition and linked correctly to avoid any surprises.
