Fire Breaks Out at Gannavaram International Airport

Gannavaram International Airport: Airport employees and travelers were in a panic after a fire broke out at Andhra Pradesh’s Gannavaram International Airport on Tuesday.


Media outlets claim that the fire began in the room of the customs personnel, where it broke out unexpectedly and destroyed luggage and office supplies. Authorities at the airport claim that the event destroyed Customs agents’ luggage bags, software equipment, and a split air conditioner in the immigration room. To stop the fire from spreading to neighboring regions, the airport’s fire and rescue crew moved quickly to the scene and put it out.

As of now, there are no casualties reported. According to the local sources, everyone near the fire accident was evacuated, and the fire department and police department have been alerted. As per the airport authorities, the reason behind the fire accident is going to be investigated soon. As per the report, the Customs department lost its luggage bags and software equipment, which are very expensive. An investigation probe is going to be launched soon.


Fire Accident in Vijayawada Airport: 

Earlier in May 2025, a fire broke out in Vijayawada International Airport, which was just one hour before the Prime Minister’s arrival. This incident took place in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower at Vijayawada International Airport.
