Gold and Silver Prices Today:
People who are planning to buy gold and silver got a shock today as prices went up sharply compared to yesterday. On September 21, 2025, both gold and silver rates touched new highs in Hyderabad, Mumbai, and other major cities.
As per the latest update at 6 AM, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold increased by ₹810 and reached ₹1,12,150. For 22-carat gold, the price rose to ₹1,02,800 per 10 grams. Silver too showed a steep jump. In Hyderabad and Kerala, the price of 1 kg of silver increased by ₹2,000 and touched ₹1,45,000. This is almost a 2% hike compared to the previous day, September 20.
Delhi: 24-carat gold at ₹1,12,300 per 10 grams
Chennai: ₹1,12,260 per 10 grams
Kolkata & Pune: ₹1,12,150 per 10 grams
Bengaluru & Vadodara: ₹1,12,150 per 10 grams
Hyderabad, Chennai, Kerala – ₹1,45,000 per kg
Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Vadodara – around ₹1,35,000 per kg
Bengaluru – ₹1,33,600 per kg
Experts say there are multiple reasons for the sudden rise in rates. First, the festive season is starting, with Dussehra and Diwali around the corner. Traditionally, demand for gold increases during this time. Reports say that gold purchases have already gone up by 37%.
On the global side, the U.S. Federal Reserve has reduced interest rates, making gold an attractive investment option. Along with this, geopolitical tensions and inflation fears have also contributed to the price hike.
Market experts believe that if these trends continue, both gold and silver may become even more expensive in the coming weeks. For common buyers, this has once again made gold and silver purchases a costly affair.
