Gemini App: Google has introduced video generation features in its Gemini app. The feature will allow users to turn still photos into animated video clips using the latest video generation model, Veo 3. The update will start rolling out to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in select countries starting July 11.
Google announced the availability of this feature in the Gemini app through a blog post. With this new feature, Google AI Ultra and Google AI Pro plan users will be able to create three video clips of eight seconds each per day. This is a paid service. For this, you will have to spend a minimum of Rs 1950 every month. These video clips will be accompanied by audio. And can be created directly from the Gemini app. Google said that you can animate everyday objects, bring your drawings and paintings to life, or give movement to natural scenes with this feature.
To use this feature, open the Gemini app and select the Videos option from the toolbar in the prompt box. Then select an image from your photo gallery. Give Gemini detailed instructions to create a video based on that image. That means specifying what kind of animation is needed, what the background should be, what the audio should be, etc. Within a few minutes, Gemini will turn that still image into a moving video.
This video will have a visible watermark and an invisible synthetic digital watermark. Users will be able to provide feedback on these videos by giving a thumbs up or down, which will help Google improve this feature. This feature is also available in Google’s Flow tool, which is designed for AI filmmaking.
