Update Aadhaar Online: It is crucial to keep your Aadhaar details updated properly to avail various essential services without any hassle. Now updating Aadhaar details is easier than ever. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made it simple and accessible to everyone to correct mistakes in your name, change your address, update your mobile number, etc.
You can make changes to your details online. Or you can visit your nearest enrolment centre for assistance. Here are the steps you need to follow to update Aadhaar online. Check the details quickly and without any hassle. Everything you need to know.
1. Log in to the My Aadhaar website and enter your Aadhaar number. Enter the captcha and log in using the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
2. After logging in, click on the ‘Address Update’ option on the dashboard
3. Click on the ‘Update Aadhaar Online’ option
4. Read the guidelines carefully. Then click on ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’.
5. From the available options, select ‘Address’ and click on ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’ once again.
6. Your current address details will be shown on the screen. Scroll down to fill in your updated details including the ‘Care of’ field (such as parent or spouse’s name), new address, and post office. Select an acceptable address proof document from the dropdown list. Upload a clear scanned copy of it. Then click on the ‘Next’ icon.
7. Now you will see a preview of your updated information. Double-check all the details. If everything is correct, pay a fee of Rs 50 to complete the process.
1. Visit the official UIDAI website and select your preferred language for a smooth user experience.
2. Go to the My Aadhaar section. Click on ‘Get Aadhaar’. Then select ‘Appointment Booking’.
3. Enter your region in the search bar and press the “Proceed to Book Appointment” button.
4. Enter your active mobile number and the captcha code shown on the screen, then click Generate OTP.
5. Once you receive the OTP, enter it in the space provided and click on the Verify icon.
6. Fill the form with the required details like 12 digit Aadhaar number as mentioned in your Aadhaar, full name (as printed on Aadhaar), date of birth, desired service, state and city, and preferred Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
7. From the available services, select your mobile number to update.
8. Click on ‘Next’ and select your preferred date and time slot for the appointment.
9. Check all the details you have provided carefully. If everything is correct, click on the ‘Submit’ icon to complete your booking.
10. On the selected day, visit the selected Aadhaar Seva Kendra as per your appointment schedule.
11. A UIDAI officer will verify your identity using biometric authentication before making any changes to your mobile number.
12. Pay a fee of Rs 50 to complete the update. You will receive an acknowledgement slip containing a URN (Update Request Number) that you can use to track the progress of your mobile number update online.

2. Log in to your account. Sign in using your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP received on your phone to verify your identity.
3. Initiate the update request. Click on the option that allows you to update your Aadhaar details online.
4. Select the information to be edited. Select the field you want to update. For example, click on Correct a name spelling error.
5. Enter the correct details. Enter the corrected information exactly as you want it to appear on your Aadhaar card.
6. Upload documents for proof. Attach valid documents supporting the correction.
7. Review and confirm. Double check all the information you have entered. Once verified, click on proceed for processing.
