IMD Yellow Alert: According to the local meteorological authority, nine districts in Himachal Pradesh are under a “yellow” warning for thunderstorms with gusty winds through Monday. Parts of the state experienced light to moderate rainfall, according to the department, with Shilaroo recording the highest rainfall at 43.6 mm, followed by Jubberhatti at 34.5 mm, Kataula at 29.3 mm, Jatto Barrag at 22 mm, Mandi at 21.2 mm, Sarahan at 19.5 mm, Narkanda at 16 mm, Shimla at 12.4 mm, and Chopal at 10 mm.

The Met reports that thunderstorms pounded Shimla, Jubbarhatti, Murari Devi, and Sundernagar. Except Una, Bilapsur, and Hamirpur, the weather office also issued a “yellow” warning for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour in isolated areas of the state through Monday.

Additionally, it forecasted a wet spell through May 16 in certain areas of the state. According to the meteorological officer, Kukumseri in the Tribal Lahaul and Spiti district had the lowest nighttime temperatures, measuring 4.8 degrees Celsius, with no discernible variation in the minimum temperatures.
