SBI Special Loan Scheme for Agniveers: Independence Day 2025

Special Loan for Agniveers: On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, State Bank of India announced the opening of a unique personal loan program for Agniveers as part of the Government of India’s short-term Agnipath recruitment campaign, according to media.

According to a statement from the bank, Agniveers who have a salary account with SBI are eligible to apply for loans up to ₹4 lakh under this initiative, with no collateral and no processing fees. As per the statement, the repayment period will coincide with the Agnipath scheme’s duration, providing our country’s courageous citizens who are leaving the civilian world with the greatest amount of flexibility and comfort.

Additionally, until September 30, 2025, the bank is providing all defense workers with the lowest interest rate of flat 10.50 percent, the bank stated. “At SBI, we believe that those who are protecting our freedom…deserve our unwavering support as they build their futures,” stated C.S. Setty, the bank’s chairman, at the product introduction.

Through its Defence Salary Package, which Agniveers have long had access to, the bank has demonstrated its longstanding commitment to the well-being of India’s armed services, which is furthered by these efforts.

Revised Charges on Fund Transfers:

SBI has changed the fees for money transfers made via the Instant Payment Service (IMPS) with immediate effect. According to the notice on the SBI website, starting August 15, the bank will charge fees for fund transfers above ₹25,000 through the online channel, while keeping the fees for IMPS transfers made through branches unchanged.
