India First Vande Bharat Sleeper Train:
Indian Railways is preparing to launch the first Vande Bharat Sleeper Express. This train will give more comfort than the Rajdhani Express. It will also run at higher speed. The travel time will be much shorter.
At present, there are 75 Vande Bharat trains in India. These trains run 150 services across the country. All of them have only chair-car seating. These seats are not comfortable for long-distance travel. The new Sleeper Vande Bharat will solve this problem.
The first prototype of the Sleeper train was tested earlier. But there were some problems in the design. Indian Railways has now fixed those issues. The train has a new and improved design. It will have modern facilities for overnight journeys.
Launch Date and Election Connection
The Sleeper Vande Bharat train is expected before the Bihar Assembly elections. The elections are likely to happen in November. So, the train may start running in October. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has asked the team to finish the work fast.
Probable Routes for the First Run
The first route could be Delhi to Mumbai or Delhi to Kolkata. But reports say it may run between Delhi and Howrah. This route will connect Bihar during the election time.
Long-distance passengers face problems in chair-car trains. They cannot rest properly during overnight travel. Sleeper coaches will make travel easy and comfortable. People are very excited about this new train.
Current Status
Right now, only chair-car Vande Bharat trains are available. They are popular and run on many routes. The Sleeper Vande Bharat will take the experience to the next level. It will bring speed, comfort, and convenience together.
