Indian Railways has introduced a new app called Rail One, designed to simplify the travel experience for passengers. This all-in-one platform brings various railway services into one app, making it easier for passengers to manage their train journeys.

IRCTC Rail One App:

The Rail One app offers a variety of services including ticket reservations, platform tickets, cancellations, meal bookings, and handling complaints. Passengers can also inquire about PNR status, check train schedules, and plan their journeys seamlessly. All these services are now available at the tap of a button, eliminating the need for multiple apps.


Android users can download the app from the Play Store, while iOS users can find it on the App Store. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Railway Minister, launched the app during the 40th anniversary of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).The app aims to be a one-stop solution for passengers, offering convenience by allowing them to access all services under a single login and password.

Key features of the Rail One app include the ability to buy platform tickets, check train position, inquire about coaches, and make complaints or requests for services. Additionally, it offers an e-wallet for easy payments and even a biometric login feature for added security.

By consolidating these services into one platform, the Rail One app aims to make railway travel more user-friendly and efficient.It is an excellent step towards modernizing Indian Railways and enhancing the experience of passengers.
