At this time, details about how many people were onboard the plane are not clear, but it is believed to have been a medical transport jet used to transfer patients. Local authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the crash, and investigations are ongoing. Southend Airport has canceled several flights in response to the incident, and officials are working with local authorities to assess the situation.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, showing the dramatic crash and subsequent fireball.

This crash follows a similar tragedy just one month ago. On June 12, Air India Flight AI 171, traveling from Ahmedabad to London, crashed shortly after takeoff. The plane struck a college hostel building, killing 275 people, including 241 of the 242 passengers onboard. The crash was attributed to a fuel supply failure.

Authorities continue to investigate the causes behind both tragic incidents, and safety measures are likely to be re-evaluated at airports and airlines worldwide.
