“If you had to choose between advocating for women’s education and immediate economic aid for impoverished families, which one would you prioritise and why?” was the question posed to Manika during the final round. How would you respond to the counterarguments?
“Two sides of the coin,” was the Miss Universe India 2025 winner’s response. On the one hand, women have been denied fundamental rights like education for as long as we can remember. On the other hand, we witness the outcome of this deprivation: families living in poverty. The essential amenity that may transform the lives of half of our population has been denied. Women’s education is the choice I would pick if I had to.

Although both challenges are significant, the focus is on taking steps that will ultimately be beneficial.
Miss Universe India 2025: Runner-Ups
The winner title went to Manika Vishwakarma; however, the first runner-up was Tanya Sharma from Uttar Pradesh, the second runner-up was Mehak Dhingra from Haryana, and the third runner-up was Amishi Kaushik. Manika will now compete in Thailand this November as the Indian representative at the 74th Miss Universe competition.
