Palestine Joins Miss Universe for the First Time, Nadeen Ayoub Leads the Way

Nadeen Ayoub Becomes First Miss Palestine at Miss Universe

Palestine will participate in the Miss Universe pageant for the first time ever this year. Palestinian- Canadian model and wellness coach Nadeen Ayoub will represent Palestine at the 74th Miss Universe competition. The pageant will take place on November 21 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Nonthaburi Province, Thailand. Ayoub announced the news on Instagram on August 13. She wore a traditional Palestinian dress with tatreez embroidery, designed by Hiba Abdelkarim.

A Model, Advocate, and Voice for Change

Ayoub, who splits her time between Dubai and Ramallah, is more than a beauty queen. She made headlines in 2022 as the first Palestinian woman to win a major international title when she was crowned Miss Earth Water. With a background in literature and psychology, Ayoub is a certified wellness and nutrition coach and founder of the Olive Green Academy, a platform that supports Palestinian women through education and digital media focused on sustainability.

“I Carry This Role With Deep Responsibility” as a Palestinian

In her video message, Ayoub said she sees the Miss Universe stage as more than just a pageant. “It’s a platform to speak up for the people of Palestine, especially our women and children,” she said. Through her initiative, Saidat Falasteen, she plans to share stories of resilience, creativity, and strength narratives she believes are often missing from global coverage. “We are more than our struggle,” she added.

A Message to the World

In her caption, Ayoub wrote, “As Palestine endures heartbreak especially in Gaza, I carry the voice of a people who refuse to be silenced.” She dedicated her journey to “every woman shaping a better future despite the odds.” She emphasized that her participation is not just personal, it is a collective representation of resilience, identity, and hope. Ayoub’s message resonated with thousands, as she urged the world to see Palestinians not just through the lens of conflict, but through their strength, dreams, and humanity.
