Independence Day-PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his 12th speech from the historic Red Fort on the 79th Independence Day of India, presenting a compelling vision for a “Viksit Bharat,” or a developed, independent India by 2047. With a focus on technology, jobs, energy, agriculture, national security, and economic reforms, his speech was jam-packed with significant announcements from a variety of industries.

This year’s event had “Naya Bharat” as its theme, emphasizing a self-assured, safe, and forward-thinking India. According to the prime minister, the nation is prepared to take decisive action and not rely on outside help to determine its future.


8 Announcements by PM Modi:

1. 1 Lakh Crore Rozgar Yojana for Youth:

With a ₹1 lakh crore budget, the Prime Minister introduced the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana to increase employment. This program offers ₹15,000 as a government incentive to new hires in the business sector. Benefiting 3 crore young Indians is the aim.

2. India’s First Semiconductor Chip Industry:

India is currently working in “mission mode” to build its semiconductor chips, according to PM Modi. By the end of this year, the first Made-in-India chip will be available, he said.

3. New GST Reforms: Double Diwali Gift

The planned next-generation GST reforms are a “Diwali gift” for the country, according to PM Modi. The goals of these measures are to increase consumption, lessen the burden on small enterprises, and simplify the tax code.

4. Deepwater Exploration Mission:

The Prime Minister declared the launch of a deep-sea energy mission to investigate mineral, oil, and gas resources beneath the ocean to lessen reliance on imported fuels. He referred to this as the “Samudra Manthan” of the modern era for energy security.

5. Nuclear Energy Capacity to Tenfold by 2047:

The prime minister declared that India intends to tenfold expand its nuclear energy capacity by 2047, with energy independence as a primary objective. Ten new nuclear reactors are currently under construction.

6. Made in India Jet Engines:

PM Modi pushed Indian scientists and young people to create domestic jet engines for fighter aircraft, much like India produced its own COVID-19 vaccinations and established the UPI digital payment system.

7. Growth in Agriculture:

India is still the world’s top producer of milk, pulses, and jute, and the second-largest producer of rice, wheat, fruits, vegetables, and fish, according to the prime minister. This year, agricultural exports surpassed ₹4 lakh crore. The prime minister urged all individuals, political parties, and institutions to cooperate for the advancement of the country as he concluded his speech.”This is not one party’s agenda. “Every Indian has this mission,” he declared.

8. Population Demographics in High-Powered Mission:

The dangers of demographic imbalance, especially as a result of illegal migration in border regions, were also discussed by the prime minister. To preserve national cohesion and guarantee balanced population increase, he declared a new Demography Mission.
