PM Modi Inaugurates 3 Vande Bharat Express trains in Bengaluru

Vande Bharat Express trains in Bengaluru: Today, August 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Karnataka for a single day to inaugurate several important transportation and infrastructure projects in Bengaluru. PM Modi signaled the departure of the Vande Bharat Express train. This train connects Bengaluru and Belagavi at the KSR Bengaluru Railway Station in Bengaluru.

Additionally, he virtually launched two additional Vande Bharat Express trains: one between Ajni (Nagpur) and Pune, and another between Amritsar and Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Along the way, he rode from RV Road (Ragigudda) Metro Station to Konappa Agrahara Metro Station and officially opened the Bengaluru Metro’s Yellow Line. With this debut, thousands of commuters will benefit from the Bengaluru Metro’s increased operational length to nearly 96 km.

Officials expect the high-speed trains to boost connectivity across multiple regions and strengthen India’s expanding semi-high-speed rail network. They believe the yellow line will ease traffic congestion in parts of Bengaluru, including Hosur Road, Silk Board Junction, and Electronics City Junction. The new stretch connects major residential areas to the city’s IT hub and promises faster, more reliable travel for daily commuters.

From there, Modi will travel to the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bengaluru. He will lay the foundation stone for Bangalore Metro Phase-3, officially inaugurate the yellow line from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Bommasandra station, and address the gathering. He will then travel by helicopter to HAL Airport and fly back to Delhi at 2.45 pm.
