Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) and Manoj Bajpayee are back together for a new film, Police Station Mein Bhoot. The duo, who created magic with Satya (1998), are set to reunite for the first time in years. The film will start shooting on July 26 in Hyderabad.
The filmmaker-actor partnership is iconic. After their success in Satya and Kaun (1999), expectations are sky-high for this project. This time, they’re diving into a fresh genre: horror-action comedy. Bajpayee plays a cop who kills a notorious gangster, only to become possessed by the gangster’s spirit.
The plot is as thrilling as it is eerie. A source close to the production revealed that the film’s shooting will take place in a bungalow in Hyderabad’s Ameerpet area. The bungalow will be transformed into a police station, where Bajpayee’s character slowly morphs from an honest officer to a maniacal figure after the possession. The police station itself becomes haunted, adding another layer of mystery to the film.
In addition to Bajpayee, Police Station Mein Bhoot features Genelia Deshmukh as his wife and Rajpal Yadav in a key role.
Filming will span across four major schedules. The first phase will wrap up in Hyderabad, with the remaining shoots taking place in parts of South India. The makers hope to finish by the end of 2025.
