S.S. Rajamouli Makes Japanese Debut:Indian filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, famed for his blockbusters Baahubali and RRR, has made a major entry into the world of video games. He will feature in a cameo role in the much-anticipated game Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, directed by the legendary Hideo Kojima. This marks a significant crossover between Indian cinema and Japanese gaming culture.

The collaboration between Rajamouli and Kojima began during Rajamouli’s promotional tour for RRR in Japan. Rajamouli visited Kojima’s office, where they scanned him for the game. Though he didn’t know how they would use his image at the time, he sensed something special was taking shape.

Reflecting on the experience, Rajamouli shared, “When we were in Japan for RRR promotions, I visited Kojima-san’s office. He scanned me there, and honestly, I had no idea how or where he’d use it. I just sensed something magical was in the making.” Now, with the release of Death Stranding 2 on the horizon, Rajamouli expresses his excitement about joining the project, stating, “Seeing myself featured in Death Stranding 2 is a true honour. Kojima-san is a visionary, and I feel humbled to play even a small role in his extraordinary world.”

Kojima, celebrated for legendary games like Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, took to social media to share behind-the-scenes photos from the scanning session. He posted, “Director S.S. Rajamouli visited KJP!!! We have scanned him. RRR.”

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is a sequel to the 2019 hit Death Stranding. Known for its deep narrative and stunning visuals, the game promises to continue its tradition of complex storytelling. With Rajamouli’s cameo, the game brings together the cinematic brilliance of India and the innovative world of Japanese gaming, creating a unique cultural fusion.
