Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on Friday. The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, shared a special moment. With fans as Sakshi posted a never-seen-before picture of the two on social media. The emotional caption read, “We made a promise! Onto 16th,” giving a glimpse of their love and bond.
In a recent development, MS Dhoni has filed for the trademark of his iconic nickname, ‘Captain Cool.’ The trademark application has already been approved and is officially advertised on June 16, 2025. This move comes as no surprise, considering Dhoni’s strong association with his calm, composed leadership style.
Known for his unparalleled leadership in Indian cricket, Dhoni led India to three major ICC titles — the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. His influence on the shorter formats of the game is undeniable, earning him a place in the ICC Hall of Fame.
Across formats, Dhoni accumulated 17,266 runs, 829 dismissals, and played 538 international matches a remarkable feat showcasing his consistency and longevity. His tactical acumen, especially under pressure, is what made him one of the best captains in the history of cricket.
Despite retiring from international cricket in 2020, Dhoni remains a key figure in the IPL, captaining Chennai Super Kings (CSK). This year, due to Ruturaj Gaikwad’s injury, Dhoni stepped in to lead the team once again. Unfortunately, CSK finished at the bottom of the IPL 2025 table. Dhoni, aged 43, struggled to replicate his former explosive performances, scoring just 196 runs in 14 matches at an average of 24.50. His strike rate of 135.17 marked a significant drop from the previous season’s 220.55.
