Download Aadhaar on WhatsApp:
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced a new and simple way for citizens to download their Aadhaar card. Now, people can get their Aadhaar directly on WhatsApp without any difficulty. This service has been launched to make the process easier, faster, and available to everyone at any time.
To use this service, citizens need to save the official MyGov Helpdesk number +91-9013151515 on their mobile phone. Once the number is saved, they can send a message like “Hi” or “Namaste” on WhatsApp. Immediately, a chatbot will reply and guide the user step by step to download their Aadhaar.
This system works in connection with DigiLocker. That means the Aadhaar must already be stored in DigiLocker to access it through WhatsApp. At one time, only a single document can be downloaded, but the service is available 24/7, making it highly convenient for all users.
The main advantage of this method is that it removes the need to visit official websites, download apps, or stand in queues. Since WhatsApp is already widely used across India, people will find it easy and comfortable to download Aadhaar using this familiar platform.
Officials also mentioned that this initiative is part of the government’s efforts to promote digital governance and provide essential services directly to citizens. It not only saves time but also helps reduce dependency on physical copies.
Many people may wonder about the security of this service. UIDAI has assured that the process is safe because it works through the official MyGov Helpdesk chatbot, which is verified and directly connected with DigiLocker.
In the future, such digital services are expected to expand further, allowing citizens to access many government documents easily on WhatsApp and other digital platforms. This new Aadhaar download feature is a small but important step toward a fully digital India.
