Secunderabad Station Redevelopment:
South Central Railway officials have announced that several trains will now operate from different terminals in Hyderabad instead of Secunderabad. This change is being made because of the ongoing redevelopment work at this Railway Station. The extension will start from Wednesday and continue until November 26, 2025.
According to the announcement, Siddipet-Secunderabad-Siddipet trains (numbers 77656, 77653, 77654, 77655) will now be extended to Malkajgiri Station. The Pune-Secunderabad-Pune trains (12025, 12026) will operate from Hyderabad Deccan Station. Similarly, Secunderabad-Silchar-Secunderabad trains (12513, 12514) and Secunderabad-Darbhanga-Secunderabad trains (17007, 17008) will now be extended to Charlapalli Terminal.
The officials also mentioned other changes:
Secunderabad-Yeshwantpur-Secunderabad tri-weekly trains (12735, 12736), Secunderabad-Agartala-Secunderabad weekly trains (07030, 07029), and Muzaffarpur-Secunderabad-Muzaffarpur weekly trains (05293, 05294) will also run till Charlapalli. Additionally, the Hyderabad-Raxaul-Secunderabad trains (07051, 07052) will be extended to Charlapalli Terminal as well.
Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules before planning their journey. The South Central Railway requested travelers to use the respective terminals during this period and cooperate with the changes. This decision was taken to ensure smooth travel services while the major redevelopment work at Secunderabad station is completed.
The redevelopment project at Secunderabad aims to modernize the station with better facilities, improved infrastructure, and passenger-friendly services. Until then, these temporary changes in train operations will help manage passenger traffic effectively.
