Shark Tank’s Anupam Mittal Chose This Place Over Switzerland – Here’s Why

A Luxury Trip Without the Swiss Price Tag

Anupam Mittal, known for his role on Shark Tank India and as the founder of Shaadi.com, recently visited Kashmir with his family. Instead of heading to Switzerland, he chose India’s own paradise. He shared that the Kashmir trip cost around ₹2 lakh, while a similar Swiss vacation would have cost over ₹10 lakh.

Kashmir Over Switzerland: Mittal Shares His Experience

Anupam Mittal shared beautiful photos from his recent Kashmir trip on X (formerly Twitter). He compared it to a vacation in Switzerland. According to him, a similar trip to Switzerland costs ₹10 lakh, but Kashmir offered the same luxury for just ₹2 lakh. He called the experience “priceless” and praised Kashmir’s world-class beauty. Mittal encouraged people to explore India’s stunning and underrated destinations instead of always looking abroad.

Anupam Mittal Refused Security

Mittal visited just four months after a terror attack in Pahalgam. He was offered security but turned it down. “Was offered security but did not accept it,” he said.“Took my family along. Kashmir is as safe as can be.” He encouraged people not to let fear win and to travel to the region to support peace and tourism.

Mittal Shuts Down Trolls, Defends Kashmiris

Online trolls quickly targeted Anupam Mittal after his Kashmir post. One user accused him of promoting the trip for ads. Mittal calmly replied, “Just emotion.” Another user made a harsh comment about religion-based violence, claiming such fear doesn’t exist in Switzerland. Mittal responded sharply, telling them, “Thodi tameez rakho bhai… it’s time to support your country.” He didn’t stop there. When someone mentioned the recent Hazratbal Shrine controversy, Mittal defended the locals. He said, “This is not true of the people of Kashmir. Jaa kar dekho, phir bolo.” He added that Kashmiris are kind and welcoming. Mittal urged people to visit the valley and see the truth for themselves.
