Steps to Apply for a Duplicate PAN Card and Get it At Just ₹50

Duplicate PAN Card:
Losing an important document like a PAN card can be very stressful, especially when you need it for urgent financial work. But now there is no need to worry. If your PAN card is lost, damaged, or misplaced, you can easily apply for a reprint online by paying just ₹50. The new card will be delivered directly to your home.

Steps to Apply for a Duplicate PAN Card

The Income Tax Department has made the process very simple. You need to visit the official Protean (earlier NSDL) website. Then follow these steps:

1. Click on the “Reprint PAN Card” link.
2. Enter your PAN number, Aadhaar number, and date of birth.
3. Tick the instructions box, complete the captcha, and submit.
4. Check your address and verify it with OTP.
5. Pay ₹50 as the processing fee.

Once payment is successful, you will receive a receipt with a tracking number. Within a few days, the duplicate PAN card will reach your registered address.

Cost of Reprint

For delivery within India, the cost is only ₹50. If you need delivery outside India, the charge is ₹959 including taxes. It is important to note that the card will be sent only to the address registered with the Income Tax Department. If you want to update the address, you must do it separately before applying.

Why PAN Card is Important

A PAN card is not just an ID, but an essential financial document. It is required to:

Open a bank account
File income tax returns (ITR)
Make large financial transactions like buying property or vehicles
Get a credit card or loan
Invest in fixed deposits, mutual funds, or shares

If your PAN card is lost, the first step is to file a complaint at the nearest police station to avoid misuse. After that, simply apply online for a reprint. With just ₹50, you can get a new card delivered safely to your home. This quick and easy process ensures that your financial activities continue without any problem.
