Telangana Intermediate Colleges Dasara Holidays: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has declared a nine-day holiday for Dasara festivities, beginning September 27, 2025. As per the circular issued on Friday (September 26), all Intermediate colleges across the state will remain closed until October 5. Regular classes will resume from October 6 (Monday).
The holiday break applies to all categories of junior colleges, including:
Government and private colleges
Aided and unaided institutions
State residential colleges
Junior colleges offering two-year intermediate courses in both general and vocational streams
By ensuring that every type of institution is included, the BIE aims to provide uniformity and allow both students and staff to celebrate the festival without academic pressure.

The Board has issued a strict warning to college managements and principals. Any college that attempts to conduct classes during the notified holiday period will face action for violation of instructions. This move underlines the government’s intention to safeguard festive breaks and avoid unnecessary burden on students.
Dasara is one of the most celebrated festivals in Telangana, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The long holiday not only allows students to participate in family and community traditions but also offers them much-needed rest before the academic workload of the next term begins.
