Telangana Rains Today: IMD Issues Orange-Yellow Alerts Over 30 Districts

Telangana Rains Today: The Indian meteorological department has added widespread rain warnings Tuesday, July 22 of 2025, to Telangana. According to the new advisory, most areas are predicted to experience heavy-to-very heavy rains, hence the IMD has issued orange and yellow alerts across the Telangana state.


Orange Alert for 18 Districts

The orange alert for very heavy rain has been declared for the 18 districts, which include Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, and all the Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, and Peddapalli; Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, and Kamareddy are amongst these areas. These areas may face problems due to water logging, low visibility, as well as disturbance in daily life activities.

Yellow Alert Over 12 Districts

12 districts have been announced under a yellow alert mean for moderate to heavy rain, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar, and Nagarkurnool. Scattered thunderstorms with a possibility of lightning and gusty winds are expected in all these 33 districts of Telangana.


Hyderabad Weather Forecast

Citizens of Hyderabad are set to see a cloudy sky with tediously regular rains, according to expectations. IMD forecast moderate to heavy rain during the evening and nighttime periods. Its occurrence may coincide with thunderstorms and gusty winds, making it wise for residents to avoid any unnecessary travel. Temperatures are going to stay put at a maximum of 31°C and a minimum of 23°C.

The citizens are also advised to keep themselves updated from official government weather sources while alerting for widespread weather hazards, avoid going to low-lying and flood-prone areas, and have emergency contact numbers with them. Farmers and commuters should be very careful since strong winds will likely reduce visibility.
