Bank Holidays This Week:
If you have important banking tasks this week, make sure to check the holiday list before visiting a bank. From June 24 to June 30, 2025, several bank holidays are scheduled across India due to festivals, weekends and regional observances.
In June 2025, there are 12 holidays for banks due to Bakrid, weekends and regional festivals. As usual, all banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays and every Sunday. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and state governments release the official bank holiday calendar each year based on cultural, religious, and operational needs.
Important Bank Holidays This Week:
June 22 (Sunday) – Weekly holiday (All India)
June 27 (Friday) – Rath Yatra / Kang – Banks closed in Odisha and Manipur
June 28 (Saturday) – Fourth Saturday (All India)
June 29 (Sunday) – Weekly holiday (All India)
June 30 (Monday) – Remna Ni – Banks closed in Mizoram
In Odisha and Manipur, banks will remain closed for three consecutive days – June 27, 28 and 29. However, these holidays may vary depending on the state. All banks will definitely remain shut on June 28 and 29 across the country.
What Can You Do on Bank Holidays?
Even though physical bank branches are closed, digital services remain available. Customers can use:
Online banking
Mobile apps
UPI payments
ATMs
However some services like cheque clearance and in-branch transactions will be unavailable during these holidays.
Make sure to complete your offline banking tasks before these dates to avoid inconvenience.
