Bank Scam: Cyber criminals are rampant using technology. People are being bombarded with new types of scams every day. Especially, Police reports reveal that almost 80 percent of cyber crimes are committed through mobile phones. Rachakonda Police is conducting extensive awareness programs to protect people from these scams. Recently, Rachakonda Police shared an interesting awareness video through their official Twitter account. In this video, they explained new types of cyber scams. They warned that if the SMS message you receive on your phone has letters like T (Transaction), S (Service), P (Promotional), G (Government) at the end, do not consider it a genuine message.
Although these appear to be genuine messages as per TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) regulations, the police have clarified that cyber fraudsters are misleading people with the names of real organizations and companies. They have warned that you should be careful when opening messages with unknown links, otherwise your bank account may be emptied with a single click. They have advised you to think before opening each message. They assured that the Rachakonda police are always ready to protect the public, and urged them to be vigilant and not fall prey to fraud.
