Childhood Love: Childhood is what have molded areas one into perceiving self and the world around them. One subtle yet huge effect not having enough love or emotional support during childhood leaves is when someone grows into adulthood.
Often adults emotional neglected show such behaviors where attention becomes uncomfortable whether good or bad. Perhaps they would reject rejections of compliments. They might hold onto apologies before giving themselves an over-explanation or avoidance of requests for assistance. Most of them possess some sense of imposter syndrome where they have doubts about their choices and worth. These patterns usually manifest to attempt subconsciously building a world where support was inconsistent.
People who have experienced this may anchor themselves in toxic relational patterns, sometimes even want familiarity when it fails to meet the safe criteria. Their strong feeling that what they know equals secure leads into the cycle of emotional damage.
There are usually two kinds of responses to early rejection from emotional conditions in the psyche.
The Empathetic Type- These are always the anxious, apologetic, and overly empathetic types. He cannot trust that he will at least continuously try to break an unhealthy pattern. Although they might make some mistakes, very much different is evident that when they deal with their concrete losses.
The Hardened Type- These adults make a protective shield owing to regular disappointments. They might turn out to be cold-hearted people, or at times, rather hard-to-understand people, though they are very loyal and loving when trust is being established. It would take so much effort to enter their inner circle, but the emotional rewards are great.
Recognition of these subtle signs will enable friends, partners, and fellow workers to do the good and responsive things in helping others. It stems from realizing where such behaviors come from towards sensitivity, patience, and healthier relationships for both those affected and people around them.
