Nepal once which was once part of Akhand Bharat, has very common rituals with India. Even in Nepal, Diwali is celebrated grandly. In India, the festival of lights is called Diwali, and in Nepal, this same festival is called Tihar. This festival is celebrated according to Hindu rituals for five days. Homes are decorated with lamps, and people exchange sweets and blessings.

2. Sri Lanka:
Sri Lanka has a huge number of Tamils in its country. They migrated during the British rule for work purposes and got settled there. Even after leaving India, Sri Lankan Tamilians still celebrate Diwali. All the homes are lit up, and people visit temples during this festival. Hindu Tamilians celebrate this festival with utmost grandeur and burst crackers during this time.

In Singapore, there is the Little India district where most of the Indians are now residing. This place is completely decorated, and the Indians there bring joy by conducting cultural performances and filling the streets with lights and joy. The entire area glows with festive lights, drawing visitors from all communities.

4. Malaysia:
Known as Hari Diwali, the celebration in Malaysia begins with prayers in Hindu temples followed by family gatherings and delicious feasts. The government even declares Diwali a public holiday.
