They many such products are being sold in the name of detoxing the body. These are claimed to make you healthier by removing toxins from the body. People are drinking these in droves without consulting a doctor or health experts, but does the body need to be detoxified?
Several Medical experts explain that our body is already capable of detoxing itself. Liver, kidney, lungs and skin work 24 hours a day to remove toxins from the body. This process takes place automatically through sweat, urine and feces. If a person follows a healthy lifestyle then he does not need a separate detox diet.

The body does not need a separate detox product. Detox drinks, supplements and diet plans available in the market are often not scientifically proven. Drinking only juice or herbal tea for a few days does not remove any toxic elements from the body. Avoid processed food, high sugar and fried foods. Do light exercise daily to keep the body’s metabolism healthy. Get good sleep so that the body can repair itself.
