Early Symptoms of Kidney Stone Formation: Here are Prevention Tips

Early Symptoms of Kidney Stone Formation: Kidneys are important organs in the human body. They help clean the blood, remove toxins, and filter extra fluids.

Early Symptoms of Kidney Stone Formation

Today, many people are facing the problem of kidney stones. These stones are hard deposits that form when minerals like calcium, uric acid, or oxalate build up and don’t pass out properly through urine.

Common Symptoms of Kidney Stones

When a person has kidney stones, they may feel severe pain in the back, stomach, or urinary tract. Sometimes, they also experience vomiting, nausea, and a burning feeling while urinating. The pain usually becomes worse at night. The person may lose their appetite too.

Major Causes of Kidney Stones

One main reason for kidney stones is drinking less water. When the body doesn’t get enough water, the urine becomes thick and minerals start to stick together, forming stones. Eating too much salt, tea, chocolate, or spinach can also increase the risk. People with a family history of kidney stones or frequent urine infections are also at a higher risk.

Expert Advice on Prevention

Doctors say kidney stones can be prevented easily. Nephrologist Dr. Himanshu Verma explains that these stones can be as small as a grain of sand or as big as a golf ball. To avoid them, one should improve their diet and lifestyle.

Tips to Avoid Kidney Stones

Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. Eat less salt and sugar. Do regular exercise and avoid fast food and packed snacks. If you often feel pain or a burning sensation while urinating, consult a doctor. Never hold back urine, as this can lead to infections and stones.

Treatment Options for Kidney Stones

For treatment, small stones may pass naturally by drinking more water and taking painkillers. But larger stones may need medical treatment or even surgery. It’s important to follow the doctor’s advice.
