Fatty Liver Disease Symptoms:
Fatty liver disease is becoming a very common health problem in today’s fast-paced life. It happens when excess fat builds up in the liver. Earlier, it was mostly seen in people who drink alcohol, but now even non-drinkers are suffering from Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The main reasons are poor diet, obesity, stress, and lack of physical activity.
1. Constant tiredness and weakness: Even without heavy work, if you feel exhausted or low in energy most of the time, it may be a sign that your liver is struggling.
2. Pain or heaviness on the right side of the stomach: The liver is located in the upper right part of the abdomen. If you often feel pain, pressure, or discomfort there, it could be due to fat in the liver.
3. Weight gain, especially around the belly: If your waistline is increasing quickly or your belly looks bloated, it may be linked to fatty liver.
4. Yellowish skin or eyes (jaundice): In some cases, skin and eyes may turn slightly yellow because the liver is unable to process waste properly.
5. Loss of appetite or feeling full quickly: A weak liver can disturb digestion. You may feel bloated, lose appetite, or feel full even after eating little food.
Ignoring these symptoms can lead to serious diseases like hepatitis, cirrhosis, or even liver failure. Doctors advise that proper diet, regular exercise, weight control, and timely health check-ups are the best ways to prevent fatty liver.
If you experience any of these warning signs, consult a doctor immediately. Early care can help you live a healthy life and protect your liver from long-term damage.
