Find THESE 7 morning habits you developed from insecurities

Insecurities have a way of appearing in subtle ways, affecting our behavior without us even realizing it. These habits may seem harmless or even good on the surface, but occasionally they can be indicative of underlying emotional problems. Below are seven morning habits you developed from insecurities.

These actions, though seemingly normal, might be indicators of some underlying emotional problems. Detection and resolution of insecurities are a prerequisite in building self-confidence and good behaviors. Growth and consciousness can convert these actions into strengths.

7 morning habits you developed from insecurities

1. Over-apology

Repeatedly apologizing for small things or circumstances that don’t call for an apology is one of the signs of insecurity. Over-apologetic individuals are often afraid of rejection or criticism and use apologies as a means of pre-emptive appeasement.

2. Excessive need for validation

The requirement of constant reassurance by others in the way of compliments or approval is most often a sign of self-doubt. The requirement of constant reassurance hides a lack of inner confidence and makes individuals dependent on the views of others.

3. People Pleasers

Going out of one’s way for other people’s convenience, even if it puts one in harm’s way, is usually a sign of insecurity. People-pleasers are also, for fear of being rejected or having an argument, willing to sacrifice their own needs on others.

4. Compulsive Social Media Activity

Over-posting social media or frequent checking for likes and comments can be a symptom of insecurity about one’s image or self-worth. Being overly attention-seeking on the internet could be a way of trying to justify oneself and cover up feelings of inadequacy.

5. Bragging or Overcompensating

Confidence is wonderful, yet too much bragging stems from insecurity. People who over-state their accomplishments could be trying to overcompensate for fear of being incompetent and under-appreciated.

6. Avoiding eye contact

Not maintaining eye contact during a conversation is typically regarded as being shy, but it may also represent insecurity. It is based on fear of judgment or the anxiety that other people will really see.

7. Perfectionism

Chasing perfection in all assignments, although commendable, may conceal insecurities regarding being inadequate. Perfectionists tend to be fearful of failure or criticism and thus have exceedingly high expectations of themselves.
