Though Ear pain is not dangerous, it can be very uncomfortable.Infections,colds or even water getting trapped in the ear may be the reasons for ear pain. Before consulting a doctor is best for serious cases but some home remedies can help to ease the pain.

– Infections from colds can cause ear pain.
– Swimming or showering can let water in, leading to infections.
– Too much earwax can cause blockage and pain.
– A small insect or an object in the ear can cause irritation.
– Sinus problems can sometimes lead to ear pain.


Easy Home Remedies for Ear Pain

1. Warm Compress

– Firstly place a warm cloth or heating pad on the ear for 10-15 minutes.
– By this blood flow can be reduced and this reduces pain.

2. Garlic Oil
– First heat garlic in mustard oil and then strain it.
– Then put 2-3 drops in the ear once it cools.
– As garlic has antibacterial properties,it helps with infections.

3. Onion Juice
– First warm some fresh onion juice and put 2-3 drops in the ear.
– It helps to fight against infection and can reduce pain.

4. Basil Leaf Juice
– First take some basil leaves then crush them to extract juice.
– Then put 2-3 drops in the ear to reduce inflammation and pain.

5. Neem Oil
– As neem has antibacterial properties,it can fight against infections.
– Then put 2-3 drops of neem oil in the ear.

6. Ginger Juice
– Ginger is a natural pain reliever.
– Apply a few drops of fresh ginger juice in the ear.

7. Olive Oil
– Warm olive oil and put a few drops in the ear.
– It helps soften earwax and soothes pain.

8. Cold Compress
– Apply an ice pack wrapped in a cloth to the ear for 10 minutes.
– This numbs the area and reduces swelling.

Precautions
– It is never advisable to insert cotton buds or objects into the ear.
– It is better to consult a doctor, if pain lasts more than two days or there is swelling
– Children with ear pain should be taken to a doctor immediately.

These home remedies can provide temporary relief, but if the pain continues then immediately consult a doctor for proper treatment.
