Heart Attack in Indians: Causes and Tips to Stay Safe

Heart Attack in Indians:

Heart attacks are becoming more common among Indians, especially in younger people. This serious health issue is not just limited to older adults anymore. Doctors say many young men are now facing heart problems due to their daily habits and health conditions.

Heart Attack in Indians:

One of the main causes is poor lifestyle. Not exercising, unhealthy eating, smoking, and long hours of sitting at a desk increase the risk. Lack of physical activity and rising stress levels are major reasons for this trend.

Another reason is coronary artery blockage. When fat builds up in the arteries, it blocks the flow of blood to the heart. This can cause a sudden heart attack and even death if not treated quickly.

People with diabetes are also at higher risk. Some individuals may get heart attacks due to genetic reasons too. Doctors say inflammation and high levels of a chemical called homocysteine in the blood, which is common in Indians, can also harm the heart.

Fast food culture and city lifestyle are other reasons. Eating junk food, not sleeping well, and sitting for long hours can slowly damage the heart. Smoking, alcohol, and mental stress make it worse.

Lack of vitamins like B6, B9, and B12 is another problem. These help control blood fat levels and reduce heart risks.

How to Stay Safe

To reduce the risk of heart attack, eat less salt, sugar, and white foods. Include more vegetables, fruits, and proteins in your diet. Also, try to exercise at least 30 minutes daily.
