Water bottle cleaning: Do you clean your water bottle? Most people wash and clean the bottle only occasionally. But there is a high probability of having many germs in it. When it gets wet all the time, the bottle gets stained, moldy and musty. It may affect your health too.
Reusable bottles may seem to be harmless. But the possibility of germs cannot be ruled out. The dark and humid environment inside the bottle causes germs to multiply. Therefore, you should pay attention to washing and cleaning the bottle frequently.
Washing the bottle daily prevents the formation of germs. If you notice stains and odors, you should wash and clean the bottle only after using it. Thoroughly washing the bottle at least once a week prevents germs from forming. On the other hand, mold is likely to form in the bottle in hot and humid weather. In such cases, you should be careful to use the bottle after washing it.
Wash the bottle daily with soap. A small amount of liquid wash can be used. At the same time, it is advisable to wash the bottle with a brush. This makes cleaning easier. You can wash it with hot water mixed with dishwashing liquid. Be sure to clean the bottle cap separately.
When used for several days without washing, the bottle will develop a bad odor. Baking soda is good for removing the bad odor from the bottle. Take some baking soda in the bottle and pour cold water into it. After leaving it overnight, wash it thoroughly the next day. This helps to eliminate the bad odor.
You can also clean the bottle using vinegar. Along with cleaning, it also helps to sterilize the bottle. After pouring vinegar, you can pour cold water into the bottle. Just leave it on overnight and wash it off the next day.
