Hibiscus for Hair Growth:
Hibiscus also known as Mandaram in Telugu is a beautiful flower found in most Indian homes. Hibiscus is famous for its powerful effects on hair health. Experts say hibiscus is packed with nutrients that help reduce hair fall, promote growth and bring shine to dull hair.
Hair fall is a common issue faced by many people today. Hibiscus can be a natural solution. Take some hibiscus flowers and make a smooth paste. Add a few drops of almond oil and 2 spoons of amla powder. Apply this paste on your scalp and hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it for 2 hours. Wash it off with lukewarm water then use a mild shampoo. Doing this once a week helps control hair fall.
Hibiscus can help here to remove dandruff too. Dry hibiscus leaves and flowers, then make a powder. Mix it with henna powder, amla powder, methi (fenugreek) powder and curd to make a thick paste. Apply this mixture from roots to tips and let it dry. Then wash your hair with a gentle shampoo. Weekly use can reduce dandruff and keep the scalp clean.
To improve hair growth, blend 6 hibiscus flowers and 15 hibiscus leaves into a paste. Warm 4 spoons of coconut oil and mix it with the paste after cooling. Apply this on your scalp and leave it for an hour. This makes your roots stronger and helps hair grow faster.
For silky hair, mix dried hibiscus flower powder with 4 spoons of curd. Apply this to your hair and wash after it dries. Doing this twice a week gives you soft hair.
Hibiscus is rich in antioxidants, flavonoids and amino acids. These promote keratin production, improve blood flow in the scalp and protect hair from sun damage. Hibiscus also has a cooling effect which relaxes the scalp.
