How to Achieve Clear Skin Naturally in Just 8 Weeks

Clear Skin Naturally: Have you ever looked at someone with flawless skin and just thought how their skin looks just so flawless and glowing? Meanwhile, some of us have tried everything from cleansers to serums and toners, only to end up with even more breakouts.

We used to think clear skin was pure luck. But after testing, failing, and finally figuring out what actually works, we realized just a few simple steps can take your skin from this to this. No expensive products, no 10-step skincare routine — just a few simple changes that finally cleared our skin.

pH-balanced cleanser

So the first thing we did was switch to a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser. If your face feels tight after washing, that’s a red flag. It means your skin’s natural moisture barrier has been stripped away. The cleanser you used was either too harsh or not pH-balanced, which can lead to dryness, irritation, and even more breakouts.

Once we switched to a hydrating cleanser that cleans our skin without drying it out, our breakouts finally started to calm down. But there is another huge mistake a lot of people make without realizing. If you have oily skin and skip moisturizing after washing because you think your skin will just get oily anyway, you’re making it worse.

Don’t switch your skincare products

Your skin needs consistency. By switching products all the time, your skin doesn’t have time to adjust or fully benefit from what you’re using. Different brands often use completely different ingredients, and that can mess with your skin’s balance. No wonder it panics and breaks out over time.

By sticking to one brand or a set of products that work together, we give our skin the chance to actually adapt and improve over time. This moisturizer did the job for us, but if you already have one that works for you, stick with it. Don’t always chase what worked for someone else — that’s the quickest way to destroy your skin barrier, leading to even worse breakouts.

Exfoliation

There was a time when we used to scrub our faces raw, thinking it would clear up our skin faster, but it did not. Over-exfoliating wrecks your skin barrier, making everything worse. Your skin will only get irritated, sensitive, and become even more prone to breakouts.

While researching how to heal our skin barrier, we came across skin cycling. At first we thought that was just another planned trend to sell us a new product. Turns out it’s just a fancy word for a simple but very effective method that involves rest days after using active products.

SPF

Many people think SPF is just for summer, but if you’re dealing with acne scars or hyperpigmentation, skipping sunscreen is basically guaranteeing those dark spots stick around forever — especially if you’re using actives in your skincare routine. So nope, sunscreen isn’t just for summer. The sun is out every day, even when it’s cloudy.

Healthy diet

Little did we know our new healthy high-protein diet would clear our skin super quickly. We feel like one of the main reasons for it was that we were cutting back on dairy and sugar without even realizing it. Dairy and sugar can spike insulin levels, which triggers excess oil production and inflammation.

Water Intake

Drinking water is super important, and we know we sound like a broken record bringing it up in every video, but honestly, it just works. When your skin’s dehydrated, it doesn’t have enough fuel to work properly, and repairing and regenerating itself gets a lot harder.

By drinking water, you actively help your skin to keep its moisture barrier intact, which is what protects it from damage and inflammation.

Rice Water

We know the hype around rice water and toners is real, but you don’t have to buy all those expensive products when you can just make your own fermented rice water at home.

Just take half a cup of uncooked rice, rinse it twice, and soak it in two to three cups of water. Strain the rice, pour the rice water into a clean jar, and let it ferment for 48 hours (or four days for even more benefits). Once it’s ready, you can use it as a toner by spraying it on or just tapping it into the skin.

Rice water contains nutrients and vitamins that soothe and hydrate your skin. The starch in rice water can also act as a very gentle exfoliant, removing dead skin cells and promoting smoother, clearer skin.

Apart from your diet, products, and routines, there are some simple habits that are one of the most underestimated things when it comes to clearing your skin. We’re pretty sure you’ve heard this your entire life:

  • Do not touch your face and stop popping your pimples. It just spreads bacteria and causes even more breakouts — stop it.
  • Switch to silk pillowcases and making sure to change them often has helped a lot to clear our skin.
  • Wipe down your phone screen daily and disinfecting it once a week. Your phone is a breeding ground for bacteria, oils, and dirt. Every time you touch your phone, especially with unwashed hands, it picks up germs, which then transfer onto your skin when you hold it near your face. This can clog your pores and cause horrible breakouts and fungal acne.
