Hyderabad Haunted Kundanbagh House:

The Kundanbagh story had all the impacts in early 2000. Reportedly, a thief broke into the house one night and fled soon in horror only to later confess to the police. Once the cops stepped in, inside the house supposedly there were three decomposed bodies of women—a mother and two of her daughters—whose deaths had occurred six months earlier.

The juicier tidbit investigators found out was when the neighbors claimed to have seen the three women alive even at those times-lighting candles at midnight, walking with oil lamps, and doing strange rituals on the balcony. Such sighting-death date contradiction rekindled rumors of paranormal happenings.

Rituals, Urban Legends, and Ghost Sightings

The women were reclusive, hermits who did not come into contact with the outside world. After some time, local people started believing that this behavior was associated with occult practices. The stories which came up were about people seeing lights flickering inside, earsplitting baffling laughter resounding at night, and shadowy images darting through the locked-out house. Some had even claimed of witnesses’ hearing whispers or chanting inside.

Media Attention and Skepticism

This case, however, became one of the many dozen news stories where a person associated with the “supernaturalism” of a place spoke of it as mental illness, isolation, neglect as opposed to supernatural forces. The deserted house nonetheless still lies, to which no one has dared to lay claim to it thereafter.
