Hyderabad continues to witness more thunderstorms, In the summer weather, with sultry temperatures and humidity ruling the roost these days. Few areas of the city received fleeting relief on Friday when clouds hovered over the city, bringing an instant respite from the searing heat. But all corners weren’t that fortunate—there were 38°C to 39°C temperatures with 40% humidity that made life a day-to-day struggle for people.
In a recent good news report, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad extended the three-day thunderstorm warning up to Monday. Officially issued, scattered thundershowers are predicted, but temperatures will remain high, ranging from 41°C to 44°C in different districts.
Hyderabad and the Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts lying around it will continue to have thunderstorms, with maximum temperatures remaining between 36°C and 39°C.
Heatwave Alerts for Different Regions
An orange warning for severe heat has been declared for various districts, such as Adilabad, Jagtiyal, Kamareddy, Kumarambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Medak, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad. The regions can anticipate temperatures ranging from 41°C to 44°C from Friday until Tuesday; it is hence crucial that individuals undergo appropriate precautions not to become victims of heat-related illness.

Thunderstorm Warning for Telangana Districts
The IMD Hyderabad has also put out a yellow alert for thunderstorms, with lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph, which will prevail till Sunday. The districts hit are Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, and Medak, among others.
Caution Amid Weather Extremes
As Hyderabad and Telangana endure a combination of blistering heat and isolated storms, citizens have been advised to drink plenty of water, wear protective clothing while stepping out during the day, and exercise due caution against lightning and gusty winds. With erratic weather trends persisting, keeping an eye on IMD updates and taking the required precautions will be essential over the next few days.
