Hyundai Announces Revised Car Prices After GST Update

Hyundai Car Prices: In order to pass on the benefits of the GST rate decrease to its customers, Hyundai Motor India stated on Sunday that it will be lowering the pricing of its cars by up to ₹2.4 lakh. At Auto Expo 2025, Hyundai unveiled the Creta Electric, which retails for ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom). It has a new design and two battery options (42 kWh and 51.4 kWh). Reservations are now being accepted. The action follows price reductions announced earlier this week by a number of automakers, including Tata, Mahindra, and Renault India, in response to the rationalization of the GST.

For the majority of its models, Hyundai has announced price reductions. The Verna will get a price reduction of ₹60,640, while the Tucson and Venue will see price reductions of ₹2,40,303 and ₹1,23,659, respectively. Significant price reductions will also be applied to other models, such as the i20, Alcazar, and Creta. Earlier this week, the GST Council made the decision to lower the passenger vehicle tax from 28% to 18%. On September 22, the new tax rate will take effect.

“This reform is not only a boost to the automotive industry but also a strong step towards empowering millions of customers by making personal mobility more affordable and accessible,” said Hyundai Motor India Managing Director Unsoo Kim in a statement.
