Gold price drop 2025:

Gold prices have recently dropped sharply, raising concerns among investors. After reaching a record high of ₹99,358 per 10 grams, gold prices on the MCX have fallen by around 7.4%, dropping below ₹92,000. Experts believe that prices may continue to fall unless they move back above ₹94,000. Many analysts suggest using a “sell-on-rise” strategy, aiming for ₹90,000–₹89,500 as the next support levels.

One key reason for this decline is the improved trade relationship between the United States and China. As both countries agreed to lower tariffs for 90 days, investors are feeling more confident to take risks in the stock market rather than buying gold, which is usually seen as a safe investment in uncertain times.

In global markets, spot gold has also been falling. Prices in the U.S. dropped nearly 1% to around \$3,210 an ounce, and gold has lost more than 3% this week alone. This marks its worst week since November 2024.

Another factor is the strong U.S. dollar. A rising dollar makes gold more expensive for those using other currencies, which reduces demand. Also, the U.S. Federal Reserve has not signaled any plans to cut interest rates soon, which makes gold less attractive as an investment.

From a technical point of view, gold is now nearing important support levels. If prices drop further, they could fall toward \$2,875–\$2,950 in global markets. On the MCX, if the price stays below ₹89,500, the next support could be ₹85,000.

Analysts advise traders to consider selling gold if it rises to around ₹94,300–₹94,500, setting a stop-loss above ₹95,600. However, investors should always be careful and consider expert advice before making any decisions.

Gold is under pressure due to stronger global markets, a rising dollar, and easing tensions between major economies. Whether prices continue to fall will depend on how these factors play out in the coming days.
