School Holiday Today:
As per the latest school holiday update, most schools across India are functioning normally on Friday, November 7, 2025. However, some regions in southern India have announced holidays due to continuous rainfall and local weather warnings. States like Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh have issued district-wise alerts, asking schools to take safety precautions.
In Delhi-NCR, including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, schools have reopened after the Guru Nanak Jayanti break on November 5. Regular classes are being conducted with no new holiday announced. Similarly, Punjab and Haryana have resumed classes after observing the same festival holiday.
In Uttar Pradesh, schools that were closed in Bulandshahr district for the Lakkhi Kartik Purnima Ganga Snan Mela have reopened. No new holidays have been declared in other districts, and normal schedules continue.
Andhra Pradesh schools resumed on November 4 after being shut for several days due to Cyclone Montha and heavy rain. Although classes are ongoing, district officials have allowed flexibility in attendance for students from flood-affected areas.
In Bihar, schools that were closed on November 6 for assembly elections have reopened today. The state is functioning normally, with all educational institutions open.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu continues to face rainfall-related disruptions. The IMD has issued heavy rain warnings for Ramanathapuram, Madurai, Theni, Virudhunagar, Sivaganga, and Dindigul districts. Local authorities may announce short-term holidays in these areas depending on weather conditions. Parents and students are advised to check local updates before heading to school.
