Morning vs Evening Exercise: Everyone understands that regular exercise is one of the best ways for a diabetic person to maintain effective blood sugar levels. The importance of exercise includes more efficient use of insulin by the body, a healthy heart, and weight management. But one question keeps puzzling everyone: Is it better to exercise in the morning or in the evening? New studies and expert opinion indicate that there are specific benefits to each time for every different health goal or daily activity.


Morning Exercise

The first check of blood sugar can be after morning exercises. Fasting or early morning exercise that is done pre-breakfast or what people sometimes refer to as ‘fasted exercise’ is said to increase insulin sensitivity and reduce fat stores in the body. Those who experience very high fasting glucose levels in the morning benefit by activity reducing such numbers naturally. Evening Exercise

Workouts can be good for people who find it hard to exercise in the morning or have fluctuating glucose levels post-meal. Probably one of the few things proved by research is that muscle strength and endurance are believed to peak later in the day, which makes evening sessions better for sustained performance because of better strength. Exercise after dinner also plays an important role in diminishing the rise in glucose levels that follow eating and may also improve the quality of sleep.

Whether it is sunrise yoga or a walk at sunset, it is showing up every day, which is of the utmost importance.When it comes to controlling diabetes effectively, nothing tops regular exercise, whatever time.
