Prevent Heart Attacks While Dancing This Navratri: Ayurveda Tips

Navratri brings joy across India as we experience World Heart Day on September 29. Morning prayers to Maa Durga, dancing and garba-dandiya in the evenings create excitement. However, fast paced or very loud music can put a strain on the heart.

If someone is not prepared for the pace and the loud sound of the DJ, it may be too much. Heart attacks can occur while doing the Navratri dance. Bad food and a bad lifestyle make a heart attack possible. Please take care of your heart at this time.

Key Precautions Before Dancing

If you are more than 30 years old, please check your heart. Get a ECG and examine for sugar and blood pressure. If not physically fit, don’t dance for long and intense sessions. Be sure to stretch for 10-15 minutes before garba. This helps to warm up your heart rate. During crowded situations stay hydrated. Sweating will dehydrate you. Don’t let your heart be at risk.

Ayurved’s Heart Strengthening Remedies

Please keep your heart safe all day and not just at events. Experts in Ayurveda, offer other natural remedies. Junk food, obesity, stress, and cholesterol is what are attacking your heart. Increased smoking and pain medication is dangerous too. Boil one spoon of Arjuna bark with two grams of cinnamon and five leaves of tulsi daily and your heart will feel stronger!

Watch for Warning Signs

Observe your body for swollen feet or blue skin. If someone has yellow edges near their eyes that is an indicator. Again, look at your nails for swollen or bent nail beds. Other signs of concern are lumps evolving underneath the joint of the toes, formation of wrinkles on the forehead, or you can see the pulse on the neck. Lastly, a red or yellow tongue, when taken altogether, is an indicator of concern to your heart!

India is home to a very high number of heart patients. In fact, more than 30,000 people die each year from heart attacks, and our youth are facing conditions related to high blood pressure and heart issues at an increasing rate.

Monitoring Your Health

Get your blood pressure checked every month. Have your cholesterol levels checked every six months. Get your sugar levels checked every three months. Get your eyes examined every six months. Get a full body check every year. Keep heart risk at bay.

Significance

Fast-paced love dancing definitely brings excitement to the heart, but it is also a strain. Dehydration will hit hard when dancing in crowds. Having regular care helps stave off heart attacks. Ramdev’s guidelines will help build and strengthen the heart. Good habits can save your life.

Do this now. Just follow these steps during Navratri. Drink the decoction every morning. Keep your heart healthy and strong.
