Benefits of Roti (Chapati):
Roti is made from whole wheat flour. It is rich in fiber, protein, iron, and complex carbohydrates. Because of these nutrients, energy from roti is released slowly in the body, which helps you stay full for a longer time. Roti also has a lower glycemic index compared to rice, which means it is useful for controlling blood sugar levels.

For people trying to lose weight, roti is considered a good option as it reduces hunger and prevents overeating. The fiber in roti also supports better digestion. However, for those who have digestion problems or constipation, roti may sometimes feel heavy, especially when eaten late at night.


Benefits of Rice:
On the other hand, rice, especially white rice, is light and easy to digest. This makes it a better option for people who want to avoid heavy meals before sleep. The carbohydrates in rice also help in releasing serotonin and melatonin, which relax the mind and improve sleep quality.

Rice has low sodium levels, so it can be good for people with high blood pressure. However, eating too much white rice may cause weight gain. Diabetic patients should also limit their rice intake to avoid high sugar levels.

Both rice and roti have their own advantages. Roti is better for weight control and blood sugar management, while rice is suitable for quick digestion and good sleep. If you want to stay full for long hours, roti is the right choice. If you prefer a light dinner that helps you sleep well, rice is better.
