The Telangana State Civil Supplies Department has released the guidelines for the new ration cards for 2025. Mehdipatnam Circle Officer Bushra Sultana gave the details. Those who are eligible should apply through your service centers. The application fee is Rs. 45. The officials will come to your home and inspect. Documents like an Aadhaar card and electricity bill should be submitted.
For the convenience of the people of the state and with the aim of further strengthening food security, the Telangana State Civil Supplies Department has released guidelines for the new ration cards for the year 2025. Mehdipatnam Circle Civil Supplies Officer Bushra Sultana informed us about these new guidelines.
She clarified that the government is taking steps to ensure that everyone eligible gets a ration card without any hassle. These new guidelines will not only make the application process easier but also reduce the need for citizens to repeatedly visit government offices.
Those who want to apply for a new ration card will have to apply only through the service centers. For this, a nominal fee of Rs. 45 will have to be paid. There will be no involvement of any middlemen in this process, she said.
Applicants should submit all the required documents at their service centers. After applying, the Civil Supplies Department officials will personally visit the applicants’ homes and conduct an inspection. During this inspection, they will verify whether the details of the family members and the documents submitted by them are correct. Although no last date has been announced for applying for new ration cards, eligible candidates are advised to apply early without delay.
Explaining the application process step by step, some important points were mentioned. The Aadhaar card of each member of the family must be submitted at the time of application. Also, other identification documents such as electricity bills, water bills, or gas connection details must be attached. If a family member wants to be removed from the ration card after marriage, a request document written by the person concerned along with the marriage certificate will have to be submitted. Processes like adding a name to the ration card or correcting any mistakes in the existing name can be carried out only through the Meem Seva portal.
The Civil Supplies Department office in Mehdipatnam receives new applications every day from 10:30 am to 3 pm. Bushra Sultana gave a message to the people that they should not panic. Their staff is working 24 hours a day. If you just submit the correct documents, they will take care of the rest of the process.
